For students/Phd/Doctor only (DTU) - or pendler/commuter housing.
Separate facility upstairs, but part of my house - furnished. You basically move into my private home and share the entrance and kitchen and facilities with me, except for your space upstairs. Nice, safe and peaceful area.
I am a 61- year-old fulltime working woman - 2 grown-up children. I have lived in my rowhouse in a peaceful area for more than 30 years and during the last 10 years, several young people from various countries have lived in my house, where you will be respected regardless of your religion or where you come from.
You can bike to DTH in about 15 min. An old bicycle is at your disposal. 20 min. S-train to Copenhagen centre.
WELCOME TO MY HOME – MAY 2024
For more than 10 years, young people have been staying with me, so the following set of rules are based on my experiences with tenants in my home, meant as a help to avoid conflicts and misunderstandings :-)
Please find information about my house and some rules to be respected – thank you……
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE THE KITCHEN, BASEMENT FACILITIES (WASHING MACHINE (NO DRYER), FREZZER,
AND MICROWAVE - Please feel at home… No cooking of hot meals or doing laundry after 22 o’clock.
Your place
Your rooms are for you only – for one person and no guests, children, or animals. Your private space will be respected as such, so you can keep it the way you want, but please keep it clean – vacuum and dust min. 1 x a month - and air out your rooms daily or at least a few times a week to prevent bad climate inside the house. Music in your room is OK – play with respect. No electrical appliances except PC, TV and hair dryer can be used upstairs – the fuses will blow off !!!
Feel free to use the towels and bed covers available to you. Please make sure this gets washed at 60 dg.C
If you are smoking, please, do NOT smoke inside the house and REMEMBER to collect the cigarette butts in the trash. No candles or open fire in the rooms. If you like green plants – please protect the surfaces in the house by using a protection pad or similar.
Guests
Your occasional guests are welcome, but not to sleep over – in case you need a guest or sleep over arrangement, please turn to me and we can talk about this.
Remember to always lock doors and close windows when you leave the house.
Water and electricity usage
Water (a scarce and expensive resource) you can drink from the tap as this is clean underground water, however, both water and electricity are expensive resources in Denmark, and an environmental focus point too, so please keep this in mind. Always turn off the light when you leave your room and please do not shower for hours. Especially, because of the energy crises in Europe due to the close by war in Ukraine.
You will be reminded about this everywhere.
Toilet
Please, only put toilet paper in the toilet.
Please try to dry the toilet floor and walls after taking showers. After showering, please air out to avoid mold and fungus. Please keep all facilities in the toilet room clean. Clean min. every 2nd week.
Kitchen
Please use kitchen facilities for cooking, cooking hot water etc. and never in your rooms. NO RICE COOKER or other private appliances can be used in my house.
Please always keep the kitchen clean after use – dry the tables and the wall behind the stow. Put your dishes in the dish washer and run the machine only when full. Avoid any cocking grease, butter or similar in the kitchen sink (the sink will block very fast) – please, collect all grease and cooking residue from pots and pans with a paper towel. Please put used kitchen ware in the dish washer except for the big kitchen knives and a few other items. Respect the disposal system – greens/paper/plastic and glass system.
